Hawaii Relocation Concierge

"You have friends on island"

Aloha and E Komo Mai (welcome) to
Hawaii Relocation Concierge!

We are Dave and Tammy Bucknell and we relocated to Hawaii Island in August of 2018. Yes, during the eruption and a few days before hurricane Lane, and with a kitty in tow! However, we were fortunate to have "friends on island" to lend us a hand.

Our new home was vacant for a few months prior to our move, and we needed to schedule various maintenance from lawn care to water catchment tank services. We found that securing dependable and honest labor was not that easy, especially from over 2,500 miles away.

Soon we settled in and became very involved with our community and assisted many folks with various tasks as a "pay it forward" gesture.

After a few years we learned that this was an ongoing need and folks were still faceing some of same challenges we had and looking for services that just didn't exist.

Until now!

In 2020 we realized that the need for assistance had grown , so we decided to create "Hawaii Relocation Concierge"! If you scroll below you will see that we offer a full range of services for everyone from new to existing residents.

We promise to give you personalized one on one care that will help make these tasks less daunting and much easier to navigate.

It's  like "having friends on Island"!

Please take the Pono Pledge at:  https://www.ponopledge.com

I pledge to be pono (righteous) on the island of Hawaii.
I will mindfully seek wonder,
but not wander where I do not belong.
I will not defy death for breathtaking photos,
or venture beyond safety.
I will malama (care for) land and sea,
and admire wildlife only from afar.
Molten lava will mesmerize me,
but I will not disrupt its flow.
I will not take what is not mine,
leaving lava rocks and sand as originally found.
I will heed ocean conditions,
never turning my back to the Pacific.
When rain falls ma uka (inland),
I will remain high above ground, out of rivers and streams.
I will embrace the island’s aloha spirit,
as it embraces me.
Lawe i ka maalea i kuonoono.

We all mourn the loss of lives, ʻāina and history that were taken by the devastating fires of Lahaina on August 8, 2023.   We humbly ask you all to please join us in donating to the victims of Lahaina and to help them try and rebuild their lives.

The Maui Strong Fund is providing financial resources that can be deployed quickly, with a focus on rapid response and recovery for the devastating wildfires on Maui.  HCF will not be collecting a fee for donations to the Maui Strong Fund; 100 percent of the funds will be distributed for community needs. https://www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org/maui-strong

An estimated 3,000 animals were separated from their owners due to wildfires. Thousands of pets in Maui are currently missing following the deadly wildfires, and vets and animal rights groups say they are scrambling to not only rescue those dogs, cats and other animals but also treat them for serious injuries. https://www.mauihumanesociety.org/donate-olx
